      2019 Immigration Symposium: Fighting to Keep Families Together

      The Immigration Symposium's focus will be on the practical aspects of immigration law and the current policy debates surrounding the field, specifically family-based immigration. Our goal is to present a compelling CLE program for immigration and non-immigration practitioners alike, as well as to provide an engaging educational experience for current law students.Attendees will have the opportunity to hear a variety of notable immigration attorneys, leaders, and scholars speak on current issues within the field of immigration law in the United States. Ashley Tabaddor, President, National Association of Immigration Judges Kathrine Russell, Attorney, RAICES Malou Chávez, Deputy Director, Northwest Immigrant Rights Project Erica Schommer, Clinical Associate Professor of Law, St. Mary's University School of Law Yessenia Medrano, Staff Attorney (Family Services), Northwest Immigrant Rights Project Silky Shah, Executive Director, Detention Watch Network Marisol Pérez, Attorney at Law, De Mott, McChesney, Curtright & Armendáriz, LLP Manoj Govindaiah, Director of Family Detention, RAICES Shalyn Fluharty, Special Project Director, Dilley Family Detention Project, Texas RioGrande Legal Aid, Inc.
