Turns over score sheets to head scorekeeper after each game. Field Supervisor - Oversees the general flow of the field: ensures games begin on time, ensures water stations are filled, passes any necessary communications from referees to other volunteers off the field. Ball Shagger - Stationed along the sidelines and end lines on each field. Retrieves balls out of play or off field. Collects balls after pre-game and half-time warm-ups. Runner - Runs scores to site of bracket board, and from scorekeepers to head scorekeeper. Runs scores from the head scorekeeper to the awards committee venue coordinator, the announcer and the media/publicity and computer committees.  Escort - Guides team to and from competition areas, and to and from awards area. Makes sure that team gets to the correct field, and sees that the team's scorecard is given to the game's scorekeeper, and after the games given to the head scorekeeper. Sees that team is returned to its coach after the awards. Attire: Please dress for comfort and mobility.  Wear comfortable closed toe shoes - you will be on your feet most of the time. No short-shorts or flip flops allowed. Parking: General parking is limited available at the venue. Weather Updates:  We suggest all volunteers text sotxsummer to 888777 to sign up to received texts concerning weather related delays and other games information.   AGE ELIGIBILITY FOR VOLUNTEERS: * 15 years and older can volunteer by themselves. * 8-14 year olds must be accompanied by parent, guardian, or chaperone. * 7 years and younger are not given volunteer assignments, but are welcomed and encouraged to be cheerleaders as long as they are accompanied by a parent, guardian, or chaperone.  Please do not 'purchase' a ticket for this position. * 8-14 year olds in a group situation need a 4 to 1 ratio-meaning one adult (18 years old or older) for every four children.  These groups usually include scout troops, school classes, church groups, etc.
